This week!

We're headed off today to Florida, to shoot a day-after creative session on the beautiful Cumberland Island. Filled with wild horses and rich textures, such as spanish-moss tree lined paths, this is bound to be a creative session like no other! When we return, we'll post more of Scott & Kat's wedding, as well as some more baby riley shots!

keeping thinking creatively and we'll show you some new imagery when we return.

much love,
-TJ

The many moods....

Scott and Amanda's wedding was actually a night wedding shot high atop Glassy Mountain at the Cliffs. However, we were able to capture many different moods starting earlier in the day and following the sun into its descent. The last several posts have showcased the dusk into night shots we captured, and this time I wanted to show you some of the mid-day into sunset images that preceded them. It's amazing how the sun can dramatically change the coloring, and atmosphere of a moment. God is infinitely amazing in His creation. I'm honored to capture such beauty and to be able to weave it into Scott & Amanda's special day.

Midnight love: Cliffs at glassy

We showcased our first night shot at the cliffs on Valentine's Day. High above most everything else, the chapel sits on Glassy Mountain overlooking the beauty of the upstate. Here are two more images, shot in the same evening showing more night sky and the romanticized love we captured between the newlyweds.

Valentine's Night...

What a perfect time of year to unveil an image that showcases romance and love in a way that's larger than life. Many of our cities hide the beautiful starscapes that shines down upon us each night. And even more rare, is the chance to see a comet that's close enough to be seen with our naked eye. We at GetzCreative want to remind you that we are artists first and photographers second. We don't entirely fit within the photography community, because we approach our work as if our cameras are paint brushes. And yet, the art community might not consider us "traditional fine artists" because we're not using elements as organic as paint, felts, brushes and clay.

We love to bridge the world to painters and illustrators with the "brush of the camera". Creating moments that are rarely seen, or possibly never seen, is just one of the many facets of what we love to do. We also love to show the connection of relationships and how they interact with daily life. And all of it is combined with a heart for art, passion, and beauty. Our passion is to take a normal part of life and create something that's a romanticized, and idealized version of the event—which is why I believe our work stands out.

If you want us to share in your life and create a work of art for you, we would be honored. You can call us at our studio at 864-354-2548 or email us at shootme@getzcreative.com to set up your personalized consultation.

much love & happy valentines day,
-TJ & Michelle Getz
