United Way & Getz Creative Fine Art Photography
In November we had the opportunity to photograph the United Way Annual Piggy Bank Auction for the second year in a row. It's a fun and creative charity event in the Greenville community to raise money for United Way.
This year we actually participated as well by designing a piggy bank for auction. Based on our trip to Hawaii this past spring, we did "Kalua Pig" and covered it in landscapes of Hawaii. We got great responses on our pig and it seemed to be a hit! We also donated a large Fine Art print of Hawaii (from our new Fine Arts division of photography) to go with it. (The framing was donated by Frame Design). Our pig sold for $80.
The night included "pig"-tinis with pink tails, sushi, chocolate, and more! Some of the large pigs with prize packages went for $1000!

Kalua
Kalua pig is the creative outcome of a Getzcreative photography trip
to Maui and Oahu this past spring. Kaula means "to cook in an
underground oven," which is traditionally how pigs are cooked at
Hawaiian Luaus. The Hawaiian islands are breathtaking. We were
explorers in a wonderful, beautiful world of vivid colors, vast skies,
and warm breezes.
Getzcreative Photography, owned by TJ & Michelle Getz, is a high end
artistic photography studio specializing in capturing magical moments
in people's lives. In this case, magical visions of Hawaii. The framed print, "Sunset Over
Shark's Cove," that comes with Kalua pig is a limited edition fine art
print from the Getzcreative Fine Arts division. The framing was
donated by Frame Design. More fine art prints are available for sale
at www.getzcreative.com.
