the cinematic kiss (and yes, you too can try this anytime, anywhere)

The art of the "dip & kiss" probably started back in "the garden" when Adam in a throe of passion, grabbed eve, showing off the grace in which he could spin, dip and kiss her while wrapped in his arms. Millennia's later we're still striving to achieve the elegance adam proved man could do, if he only put in a little effort toward perfection.

Our story begins high atop the mountains on Lake Keowee, where Ryan proved grace and manly elegance is not lost. (cue the jazz band) .....he saw her on the greene looking out across the field; sun bouncing off her dress, causing it to glow and adding something beyond perfection to an already perfect moment. (yeah, I bet you didn't know that was possible did you?) A cool breeze (most likely in the high 70's & moving about 2mph) added an everglow to the music coming from the end of the clubhouse where he watched a falcon circling some poor rabbit that was about to meet it's end... but I digress. Marching with a swagger a double-O would be jealous of, he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulled her close and in one graceful move, dipped her back and kissed her!

Arizona Here We Come!

Michelle and I will be hitting the road for an Arizona shoot-out adventure. A few months ago, we had the pleasure of being part of Steck & Marilyn's wedding in Scottsdale. Today, we're headed back for one of our cinematic, fashion-filled "day-after" sessions. The itinerary includes Sedona, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon!.

rooftop romance

To me, this image feels like it's not even in downtown Greenville. Maybe it's the neon lights, or the sunset saying goodbye to yet another day, but whatever it is, it fills my creative spirit with wanderlust and a yearning for more adventure!

This image seems befitting of the words written by John Donne
"Come live with me, and be my love, and we will some new pleasures prove; of golden sands, and crystal brooks, with silken lines, and silver hooks."

wishing you well,

-TJ

old-time hotel: the journey of an artistic spirit

My good friend and photographer Scott Holloway first showed me a shot he took similar to this one. It was such a great shot, I was inspired to try it with Nate & Riley as well. I wanted to take them back in time, giving their image a look that would evoke another era.

When you hire us, you are hiring artists first and a photographer second; though it would probably be hard to separate the two physically, since photography is the means in which we create our art. Many of our photographs strive to evoke a feeling beyond the reality; something more grandeur and spiritual. As with every artistic photographer, part of their soul shines through their work. It's a good reminder that you're not just paying for someone who knows how to use a camera, when you book us, you're paying for the vision, and artistic spirit as well.
